Objective
Work in an environment that allows me to exercise my leadership and technical skills while offering the opportunity to grow my skills and advance my career.
Experience
Internship – Agvision – Ankeny, IA Summer 2016
* Real world experience with small agricultural software business.
* Tackled problems with database conversions, networking, and importance of a team player.
* Exposure to backup and cybersecurity.
Fareway – Ankeny, IA April 2013 - Present
* Interact directly with customers to fulfill their needs, including helping determine meat cuts, sharing cooking tips, and bundling the customer’s order for purchase in a very timely manner.
* Help ensure meats/cheeses are sold in first in/first out to minimize any spoilage waste.
* Closing the meat department and ensuring the case is sanitized to maintain the healthy product and meet regulatory guidelines.
Education
Iowa State University – Electrical Engineering (GPA 3.17) 2013 – Planned 2017 Graduation
I plan on finishing the Electrical Engineering degree in 4 years. After my first 3 years in engineering, I have gravitated toward designing and fabricating integrated circuits.
Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble, France) - Nanotechnology Summer 2015
In depth instruction on nanotechnology, lab on chips, and physics in the Nano scale. My main project was developing a solar cell from silicon wafers. My activities included wet etching, dry etching and basic particle deposition. This all took place in a clean room.
Relevant Coursework
Eagle Scout (Spring 2013) – For my eagle project I led a team of young men (and adults) to build building signage for major reconstruction activities at the Easter Seals Camp in Ankeny Iowa. Main activities included securing the project, obtaining funding, gathering materials, organizing the work and ensuring the work was completed to specifications.
Make to Innovate (fall 2014 – spring 2016) – Constructing an underwater autonomous vehicle to compete in the Robosub competition in the summer of 2017. My role on the project in addition to planning, ensuring all of the electronics are connected properly and sufficient power is available to all components as well as designing PCB boards.
